That is the flat kart. You can find some good used karts for $1000 to $1500 at the end of the year or at the beginning of the season. If you weigh 225 or more you need to run Sumo Super Heavy. This is a class for heavier drivers to be competetive in. You could run Super Heavy and some do but you are at a disadvantage giving up weight.

I'm sure someone with a lot more knowledge of the kart end of it will get back to you. if you can make it come on down and you can talk to someone first hand.

My name is Linda and you can find me most anytime on raceday at the track.

Details for the 2 Jr. Sportsman Champ Classes

Both Classes will be 315 lbs

The 1st class only will count points for the American Dream Championship Series and will qualify and race as normal (20 laps).

The 2nd class will not qualify and we will invert the field by how the karts finished in the first class. (i.e. kart who finished 1st starts last and last place starts first) This will be a 2 session 30 lap race with an intermission at 15 laps. At the intermission karts will be allowed to refuel only. The driver leading at the intermission will then draw to see if the field will invert again or not.

Kevin,

Jr.Sportsman Champ heavy weight is 315 for dirt series. I think you looked at pavement weight.

This is what Richard told me this afternoon when we talked. There will be two Jr. Sportsman Champ Heavy races. They will both be 315 lbs. The 1st race will be points and money. The second race will be 30 laps and stop at lap 15 and add fuel. Then the leader will draw to see if we invert the field or not. This will be something different and exciting. Hope this helps. If you will send me an e-mail I am trying to get back some contacts where my e-mail address was stolen. kart-43@hotmail.com
